Tissue and a gift bag... Santa tried -- he likes the animal train, but LOVES the tissue... Maybe next year.
I got my mixer! Woohoo! Mrs. Clause ran all over creation-- every Costco in the Atlanta area-- to find Mario Cart with racing wheel for the Wii for Taylor. (She almost hugged the gal at the Costco where she did finally find it...) Maybe next year Santa will run all over creation to find me the Wii Fit. hint-hint-...

Maddox's New Trick
he looks a little like a gorilla. Two weeks ago he rolled over from his back onto his tummy- he looked at me like I was insane when I started clapping and saying "yaaaay, Maddox!" The same look I get when I try to take a picture of him smiling...

happy little boy
He's just so happy-- all the time. We're really blessed.
He has turned me into a pile of mush. I always thought it was so silly to "baby talk" but now I'm doing it... everywhere. No shame, I do it to see my baby boy smile at me. There's absolutely nothing more rewarding that that gummy smile. It absolutely melts my heart!

Grand Entrance
Maddox William made his long-awaited grand entrance at 2:31 pm on Saturday July 19. After a very long night and a seemingly even longer day, he surprised everyone by coming at least 5 hours earlier than anticipated. God bless the person who invented the epidural-- and my anesthesiologist.
His stats were 6 lbs, 15 oz and 19.5 inches long. By 7 days old he'd made his first-- and surely not last-- trip to the emergency room at Scottish Rite. Thankfully he was just jaundiced and we were able to be released Sunday mid-afternoon. I don't think Taylor and I would have made it that weekend without great friends and our family. We would have starved... how do they expect kids to eat that junk?
He's a beautiful, happy, healthy baby boy. I never imagined that I'd love him so much!
